It is known to mount a sound protection screen on a motor vehicle engine, said assembly comprising: a fluid reservoir such as oil or coolant, said reservoir being provided with a filling opening, said opening being intended to be obscured by a plug, said screen which is provided with an access orifice to said opening.
    [0002] With such an arrangement, there is an emission of noise from the engine through the orifice of the screen. The invention aims to overcome this disadvantage.
    [0003] For this purpose, and according to a first aspect, the invention proposes a mounting of an acoustic protection screen on a motor vehicle engine, said assembly comprising - a fluid reservoir, said reservoir being provided with a filling opening, said opening being intended to be obscured by a plug, - said screen which is provided with an access port to said opening, said screen being provided at the periphery of said orifice with a sealing ring bearing on the periphery of said opening, so as to isolate the noise of said motor emitted to said orifice. In this description, the positioning terms in the space (upper, vertical, horizontal, ...) are taken in reference to the assembly disposed in the vehicle.
    [0004] With the proposed arrangement, the sealing ring forms a barrier to the transmission of the noise of said motor through said orifice.

    [0006] Referring to the figures, there is described a mounting 1 of a screen 2 for acoustic protection on a motor vehicle engine, said assembly comprising: - a fluid reservoir 3 - such as oil or coolant - said reservoir being provided with a filling opening 4, said opening being intended to be obscured by a plug 5, said screen which is provided with an orifice 6 for access to said opening, said screen being provided at the periphery of said orifice a sealing ring 7 abutting at the periphery of said opening, so as to isolate the noise of said engine emitted to said orifice.
    [0007] According to one embodiment, the sealing ring 7 has a honeycomb structure. Such a honeycomb structure can make it possible to achieve the elasticity of the constituent material of the crown 7.
    [0008] In addition, such a honeycomb structure can, provided that there is a surface porosity, an acoustic absorption in addition to the insulation provided by the seal provided by the ring 7, which contributes to improving the acoustic protection.
    [0009] According to the embodiments shown, the screen 2 comprises a layer 8 of elastically compressible material, the sealing ring 7 being formed by a portion of said layer surrounding the orifice 6.
    [0010] The elastically compressible material is in particular based on foam, in particular high density polyurethane, in particular between 0.25 and 0.40. Such foams have, in particular, a high heat resistance and a non-abrasive character with respect to of the motor. In a variant, the elastically compressible material is based on felt, bearing the crown 7 at the periphery of the opening 4 creating the expected seal. In variant not shown, the ring 7 is in the form of a seal, for example of elastomeric material, reported on the screen 2.
